Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is known for her brilliant performances in movies and has bagged four National Film Awards, recently shared that preparing for the role of J. Jayalalithaa in her new film ‘Thalaivii’ took a lot of hard work.In her Instagram post on Sunday, the 34-year-old actress revealed that she gained 20 kgs in six months for the movie, and lost the same within the next six months. The actress wrote that the physical transformation messed up a few things in her body. Detailing out one of the side-effects, she said that she is now left with permanent stretch marks. “Art comes to life with a price and more often than not price is the artist him/herself,” she concluded.

‘Thalaivii’ showcases the varied aspects of Jayalalithaa, tracing her journey as an actress at a young age to becoming the face of Tamil cinema, as well as the rise of the revolutionary leader who changed the course of the state’s politics.The biopic on late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister released in Indian theatres and on OTT platforms on September 10. The ‘Fashion’ star thanked her team for making ‘Thalaivii’ a shining diamond in her filmography.
